The US Central Command launched additional airstrikes to protect civilian sailors and merchant ships after Iran continued its attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. The airstrikes began at 6:00 am Korean time on the 13th, following orders from US Commander-in-Chief President Donald Trump. The US airstrikes are a countermeasure against Iran's attacks on merchant ships in the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran is also retaliating with attacks targeting US military bases in the Middle East. Amidst this military tension, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has even declared a complete blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
