Ambassador Yoon Soon-koo attended an economic briefing on Indonesia hosted by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) on July 10th. The event was held in conjunction with Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Economic Affairs.
Minister Hartarto diagnosed the current global economic situation as being at a structural turning point.
In this context, the Indonesian government is pursuing key policies such as food security, sustainable energy, doubling AI and semiconductor capabilities, and reforming natural resource export systems. They aim to operate an open economy based on international norms.
Ambassador Yoon exchanged views with Minister Hartarto on the possibility of cooperation between the two countries in the shipbuilding and nuclear power generation sectors.
