This is the fourth video about riding in Europe's holy land, Galibier.

Galibier (Col du Galibier) is a legendary mountain pass located in the French Alps at an altitude of 2,642m.

Since its first introduction in 1911, it has been one of the most frequent Alpine passes to appear in the Tour de France.

The 'Souvenir Henri Desgrange' award, given for passing the highest point in the race, is often presented at this ancient summit or at the entrance to the Galibier tunnel.

No matter which direction you approach from, you have to endure a long uphill climb with an average gradient of around 7%. Especially in the last few kilometers before the summit, the gradient increases to 8~10%, and you will face the double challenge of altitude sickness and strong headwinds due to the high altitude.

A barren and majestic landscape: As you climb far beyond the tree line, the summit reveals a rugged and desolate rocky terrain devoid of trees. From the summit, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Alps.

The classic route is to climb from the north, passing through Col du Télégraphe and then ascending through the village of Valloire.
