The Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office indicted A, a police inspector at Yeongdeungpo Police Station, without detention on charges of abuse of power. Inspector A is accused of writing an emergency arrest warrant stating the false fact that he had urgently arrested B, a suspect in a special theft case who voluntarily appeared at the police station. As a result of the prosecution's supplementary investigation, it was confirmed that B was illegally arrested outside the police station despite having no possibility of escape. Inspector A also falsely recorded that he had seized the money stolen by B. Yeongdeungpo Police Station issued an order to suspend Inspector A's duties and excluded him from work.
