Social Padel House brought World No. 8 Paquito Navarro to Jakarta for the SPH Superstar Series on 11 and 12 July 2026 by pairing professional coaching and exhibition matches with a new padel-inspired pastry campaign from FLOR. Held at Social Padel House Setiabudi, this two-day programme connected international sport, local players and the social culture developing around padel in Indonesia.

The event followed the Indonesian visit of professional player Tolito Aguirre and formed part of Social Padel House’s efforts to support the country’s expanding padel community. Participation in the sport has grown alongside its appeal as a social activity, with players increasingly gathering for food, coffee and conversation before and after matches.

With padel’s enthusiasm shifting towards a broader audience than competitive players alone, facilities now function as meeting places, while tournaments and community events offer opportunities for participants at different levels to learn, watch and engage with the sport. Responding to this growth, SPH Superstar Series gives Indonesian players and spectators direct access to an internationally recognised athlete. Navarro, ranked World No. 8 by the International Padel Federation, is a regular competitor on the Premier Padel tour and is known for his tactical creativity, energetic play and distinctive shot-making.

The programme included the Superstar Clinic, where participants trained directly with Navarro in coaching sessions covering playing technique, match strategy and lessons drawn from his professional career. The sessions gave local players an opportunity to understand how decisions are made at the highest level of the sport, from positioning and communication to handling pressure during a match.

The All Star Exhibition Match brought Navarro onto the court with leading Indonesian players, including members of the Indonesian Men’s National Padel Team. Spectators could watch the Spanish player compete in a local setting while seeing how Indonesia’s top players responded to the pace and demands of an established international professional.

“I always enjoy visiting new countries and meeting passionate padel communities,” said Navarro. “I’ve heard so many great things about how quickly padel is growing in Indonesia, and I’m really looking forward to playing, sharing my experience and meeting everyone in Jakarta. I hope this weekend will inspire even more people to fall in love with the sport.”

The weekend also introduced a culinary component through FLOR, ISMAYA Group’s bakery and pastry brand. Under the campaign Serving Balls That Don’t Bounce, FLOR launched The Padel Ball and The CroBall, two limited creations based on the shape of a padel ball.

The pastries extended the event’s theme into the social period surrounding each match. They were designed for visitors who came to watch, play or spend time at the venue, reflecting the way food has become part of the sport’s community experience.

The Padel Ball combined coconut whipped ganache, lychee-lime gel with pieces of lychee, coconut sponge, coconut-lime crémeux and a buttery white sablé. The CroBall featured honeydew diplomat cream, honeydew and kiwi confit, fresh honeydew pieces and almond crumble. Cut them open and the real serve begins, as each pastry reveals colourful layers that capture the surprise and playful energy of the game. Additional menu selections drew from the familiar post-match routine of sitting down together over coffee, pastries and conversation.

“At FLOR, we believe food has a unique ability to connect people and become part of different moments in life,” said Cendyarani, President Director of ISMAYA Group. “Through The Padel Ball and The CroBall, we wanted to translate the energy surrounding the padel trend into a dessert experience that is enjoyable, surprising and easy to share.”

This collaboration served up the full padel experience, from clinics and exhibition matches to pastries and post-game catch-ups at the venue. For Social Padel House and FLOR, the joint programme showed how two ISMAYA Group brands can respond to the same cultural shift from different angles. One focused on player development and international competition; the other translated the sport’s visual identity and social appeal into food. Future editions of the SPH Superstar Series are expected to continue building links between global players and Indonesia’s padel community, while FLOR’s participation points to further collaborations inspired by the activities and interests influencing urban life.
