President Lee Jae-myung held a launch ceremony for the 'Committee of Light' at the Blue House on the 17th and promised to promote projects to inherit the spirit of citizens who stood up against the illegal martial law of the previous government. The president emphasized, "No one should reign above the constitution," and announced a plan to designate December 3rd each year as 'National Sovereignty Day.' He also pledged to actively participate in the construction of a digital archive to spread K-democracy as a model for global democracy. The event was attended by Committee Chair Park Mi-kyung, Minister of Administration and Security Yoon Ho-jung, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Koo Yun-cheol, and others. Citizens who resisted martial law at the time and representatives of civic groups also participated.
