Ahead of the third anniversary of the death of Seoi-cho teacher, a teachers' group held a rally urging the revision of the Child Welfare Act. Teachers argued that the Child Welfare Act infringes on teachers' educational rights, saying they are at risk of being reported for 'child abuse' even for legitimate educational activities due to malicious complaints from parents. They emphasized the need for legal revisions by citing cases where innocent teachers were prosecuted due to parental complaints, as seen in the drama 'True Education'. Gyeonggi Superintendent Ahn Min-seok said that this issue is structural and urged the National Assembly to quickly process the Child Welfare Act.
