Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) will likely be retained. This decision was made after President Prabowo Subianto saw a significant improvement in the performance of Customs and Excise. These improvements include an increase in Customs and Excise revenue by around 7% and a decrease in the circulation of smuggled goods in the market. Purbaya also mentioned that the leadership overhaul at DJBC has had a positive impact on the performance of the institution. President Prabowo asked that DJBC continue to improve its performance to achieve even better results.
