Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi met with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Transport and Logistics Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser and agreed to pursue a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in transportation safety, maritime safety, railway safety, and civil aviation technology. Both countries agreed to expand the '88 air transport agreement and add Yogyakarta and Banda Aceh as new destinations in the June '25 air talks.
The two countries will promote the expansion of Saudi airlines' routes to Indonesia, increase regular flights to Jeddah and Madinah by Indonesian airlines, strengthen transportation capabilities, support internships, and assist Indonesian graduates from transportation institutions in finding jobs at Saudi transportation companies.
