English referee Anthony Taylor (47) has announced his retirement after 20 years as a referee. He officiated a total of 831 matches, including the Premier League and international competitions, and was active in major tournaments such as the 2022 Qatar World Cup and Euro 2020. Notably, he was praised for his quick handling of a Danish player's heart attack during Euro 2020. However, Taylor also experienced difficult times, including verbal abuse from AS Roma manager Mourinho. As for his connection with Korea, he served as the referee for the Korea vs. Ghana match at the 2022 Qatar World Cup and even ordered the dismissal of Son Heung-min.
