The Iranian Foreign Ministry denied the possibility of resuming negotiations with the United States and took a hard-line stance. Iran argued that the United States should resolve the crisis it created itself, and that the United States does not have the right to decide on war and peace. It stated that the issue of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz is being discussed constructively with Oman, and there is no US involvement. Moreover, Iran protested the interference in its internal affairs by French diplomats and urged GCC countries, including Kuwait, to stop using US military bases. Finally, it strongly condemned Ukraine's attack on Iranian ships in the Caspian Sea and called for intervention from European countries.
