The Football Association (FA) has strengthened sanctions for discriminatory behavior to create a discrimination-free football environment. From the new season, all stakeholders, including players and managers, will be subject to a minimum suspension of 10 matches for discriminatory acts targeting race, nationality, etc. Previously, suspensions ranged from 6 to 12 matches, but the FA has increased the level of punishment, judging that discrimination in football is still serious. If aggravating factors are recognized, penalties exceeding 10 matches may be imposed, and repeat offenders may face suspensions with no maximum duration. However, in cases with special circumstances such as normal reference or early confession, the minimum penalty can be reduced to 6 matches.
