President Lee Jae-myung chaired a seven and a half hour meeting immediately upon his return from a trip to the United States, South America, and Germany, focusing on stabilizing the real estate and stock markets. The President pointed out that the housing supply shortage that has persisted since 2022 is serious, and urged for swift implementation of supply through securing supply volume and easing financial, fiscal, and regulatory measures. He also directed a complete re-examination of existing supply measures to reflect the needs of the people, and ordered the holding of additional reporting and inspection meetings within two to three days.
