Alibaba has just launched an AI model called Qwen 3.8 Max with 2.4 trillion parameters, making it one of the largest AI models in China. The model immediately ranked first in the text model category on the Arena.AI benchmarking platform and is capable of processing text, images, and videos with context up to one million tokens. Alibaba claims that Qwen 3.8 Max successfully completed a software engineering project in 16 days. Meanwhile, AI startup DeepSeek introduced the V4-Flash model which is more cost-effective than its competitors.
