According to a survey by the Korea Consumer Agency, wedding costs can vary by up to 3.25 million won depending on the wedding season. The average cost during peak seasons (March-June and September-December) is 21.56 million won, while it is cheaper at an average of 19.54 million won during off-seasons (January-February and July-August). In particular, April weddings are the most expensive, costing 22.38 million won, with a difference of 3.25 million won compared to January (19.13 million won). As a cost-saving trend, the proportion of contracts for dress and makeup packages ('dreme') is increasing. The Korea Consumer Agency recommends that those planning weddings during peak seasons consider the possibility of increased venue rental fees and mandatory additional items, and compare prices based on the total amount.
