Several factories from China plan to relocate to the Madura Industrial Estate in Bangkalan, East Java. These factories operate in labor-intensive sectors such as textiles, chocolate, and furniture. The relocation is part of the Two Countries Twin Park scheme between Indonesia and China. The investment value is still being calculated, but it is expected to absorb a lot of local labor because most of the industries that will enter are labor-intensive industries. Development of the industrial estate in Bangkalan is targeted to begin soon after the permitting process is completed.
