Lincoln Center in New York has transformed into a public square through its "Summer for the City" event since the COVID-19 pandemic. From June to August each year, hundreds of performances and events are held free of charge or with a voluntary donation system, allowing audiences to experience a variety of genres including classical music, modern dance, world music, and hip hop. The participation of Korean artists is also notable, including K-pop group 'Silent Disco', gayageum player Kim Doyeon's jazz performance, and choreographer Heo Seong-im's dance work on climate change.
