The nine-year property division lawsuit between SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won and Butterfly Gallery Director Noh So-young is finally coming to an end. The Supreme Court previously excluded SK shares from the property division in the divorce case due to former President Roh's slush fund issue, but the recent retrial recognized the SK shares held by Chairman Choi as subject to property division. As a result, Chairman Choi must pay Director Noh approximately 944 billion won in property division. This amount is the largest scale in the history of domestic conglomerate family divorce lawsuits. Both sides can file an appeal until the 18th, and if there is no appeal, the retrial judgment will be finalized. However, there is also analysis that Chairman Choi is likely to file an appeal.
