● Conclusion
○ Gangneung (Jeongdong) to Seoul (Jeongseo) is **better from Gangneung to Seoul**
○ Yongmun to Sokcho is safer. National Road 44 is scary. You could get into big trouble going to Gumsaro.
○ The proportion of four-lane national roads in the course is about 15~20% of the total.
○ If you edit the Jeongdong Jeongseo GPX file well, there are tunnels and bypass roads on four-lane national roads.
○ Recommended for one day if you ride hard, and two days and one night if you ride comfortably.

● Difficulty
○ Seoul to Gangneung is much harder (ignoring wind direction). It's greatly affected by the ups and downs.

● Scenery
○ Personally, I prefer Gangneung to Seoul.

● Daegwallyeong Uphill
○ 1100m altitude, Misiryeong is easier than Daegwallyeong (Gangneung to Seoul) than I thought. (The same goes for the opposite direction. If you keep pushing, you can go up.)

● Daegwallyeong Downhill
○ Going from Seoul to Gangneung is a very steep downhill with many cars behind (for safety reasons, the downhill speed limit is 40~50km/h).

● Tunnel Comparison 1 (excluding Yongmun Tunnel and taking a detour)
○ Seoul to Gangneung is better to take the Taegisang bypass road (Taegisang tunnel uphill issue). However, all tunnels have wide shoulders.

● Tunnel Comparison 2 (excluding Yongmun Tunnel and taking a detour)
○ Gangneung to Seoul is relatively tolerable even when entering the tunnel (Taegisang downhill tunnel). However, all tunnels have wide shoulders.

● Gentle Downhill
○ Gangneung to Seoul, a gentle downhill is so much fun. It feels like you've become an athlete.

● Gentle Uphill
○ Seoul to Gangneung gradually consumes your stamina. It feels like resetting.
