Kim Min-seok is a leading politician of the 86 Movement and a four-term member of the National Assembly who served as the first Prime Minister of the Lee Jae-myung administration. He drew attention when he was elected the youngest member of the National Assembly in his 20s, but he also experienced political difficulties, such as leaving the party in 2002 while advocating for the unification of Roh Moo-hyun and Jeong Mong-jun candidates during the presidential election. After returning to the National Assembly in 2020 and being appointed Prime Minister, Kim Min-seok rose again to the center of the political stage. He led the successful hosting of the APEC meeting and gained recognition for his ability to run state affairs, and as a key figure in the Lee Jae-myung presidential support group, he earned the nickname "Dawn Prime Minister." Recently, he won the Democratic Party of Korea leadership election and started a new challenge as "Dawn Representative." His ambition is expected to spread further depending on the results of next year's by-election and the 2028 general election.
