Song Superintendent repeated corrupt practices such as receiving money from suspects in other cases, providing investigative information, or concluding cases prematurely. These actions caused serious problems, including depriving individuals of their right to appeal against a non-prosecution decision under the Criminal Procedure Act. The prosecution indicted Song Superintendent and Lee Mo, a police inspector, and Mr. Lee, Yang's husband, was also indicted on charges of bribery.
