Ambassador Yoon Soon-koo met with Retno Marsudi, Indonesian Foreign Minister, on August 20 (Sunday) and exchanged views on ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in line with the elevated Special Comprehensive Strategic Partnership agreed upon at this year's summit meeting between the two countries.
In particular, they had in-depth discussions on ways to enhance strategic communication, defense industry cooperation, collaboration in new growth industries such as shipbuilding, support for Korean companies entering the Indonesian market, and expansion of people-to-people exchanges.
Ambassador Yoon also conveyed the deep condolences of President Yoon Suk Yeol and the Korean people to the recent earthquake victims in eastern Indonesia.
