The emojis someone uses can indicate their generation. Gen Z tends to use the fire emoji for praise, while older generations like Gen X prefer the hundred points emoji. The thumbs-up emoji, which was once popular, is now considered "old" by some Gen Z and is even nicknamed the "boomer emoji". Nevertheless, the thumbs-up emoji is still widely used globally. Gen Z also tends to use the crying laughing emoji to express a variety of emotions, not just laughter.
