The 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games (AG) will feature a total of 60 gold medals in five combat sports: wushu, karate, jiu-jitsu, kurash, and MMA. Notably, wushu and karate will each have 15 gold medals, exceeding taekwondo's (11 gold medals) share. Korea has a high potential for medal acquisition in wushu, karate, and jiu-jitsu, and aims to win its first-ever gold medal in kurash. MMA is divided into traditional and modern categories based on attire, with Korean athletes expected to achieve at least a bronze medal.
