Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, bought the old Strancally Castle in Ireland with his wife Priscilla Chan. The castle will be their place to stay when they visit Ireland, where Meta also has its international headquarters. The price of the castle is estimated at around 20 to 30 million euros, much cheaper than the price of Zuckerberg's yacht which reaches 300 million US dollars. Before being bought by Zuckerberg, the castle was owned by the couple Michael Alen-Buckley and Giancarla who had renovated it for 25 years. The purchase of Strancally Castle adds to the list of tech conglomerates who own historical properties in Ireland, such as James Dyson and John Collison.
