I'm a 2-year beginner golfer..
My wife suggested swimming for exercise to lose weight because I was overweight, but I was afraid of water and refused. Then she said I should at least learn golf, saying it involves a lot of walking during rounds. I stubbornly refused, thinking golf seemed too bourgeois, but I ended up getting completely hooked on this golf that I reluctantly started.
Golf, which I started relatively late, has become fun. I feel good having found a pleasant hobby for the rest of my life.
It doesn't seem to be a very active community group, though..
Still, since it exists, I'll enjoy occasionally browsing and posting related posts.
Now it's almost exactly 2 years, and I shot an 86 in last Sunday's round.
Isn't that prodigy-level?
By the way, I started completely self-taught.
