Il-Hyung Lee, nominee for Minister of Economy and Finance, emphasized that the Korean economy needs to leap forward as an "irreplaceable Republic of Korea" through new challenges. He promised to lead a rebound in potential growth rate by maintaining the growth trend of the previous government and implementing mega-projects such as the three major ones. In addition, he plans to do his best to resolve polarization and care for people's livelihoods by utilizing policy space secured through the semiconductor boom. Lee, the second nominee for Deputy Prime Minister since the inauguration of the Jae-Myung Lee administration, said that he feels an infinite sense of responsibility.
