Oh Sang-uk and Jeon Ha-yeong won the men's and women's sabre individual titles, respectively, at the 31st Kim Chang-hwan National Fencing Championships. Oh Sang-uk overcame a waist injury and gained confidence towards defending his individual and team titles at the Asian Games next month. Jeon Ha-yeong also confirmed her participation in the individual and team events of the Asian Games by recording the highest ranking among Korean women's sabre fencers, 11th in the world rankings. The two athletes are expected to play a key role in Korea's fencing at the Asian Games. The Asian Games fencing event will be held from September 22nd to 27th.
