These days, I'm taking time off to prepare for job interviews.
When they asked about my hobbies and I said road cycling, their impression seemed to sour.
There were also people at my current workplace who didn't view cycling favorably.
I've had two interviews so far, and both interviewers reacted very negatively to cycling. They even asked if I don't ride on the road because I'm trying to get hired quickly. "You don't ride along the Han River at high speed in a group, do you?" they asked. "Do you belong to a cycling club or something?"
It seems like the interviewers might watch YouTube videos.
I think it's best not to mention cycling anymore.
I'm thinking about putting up a picture of my bike as my KakaoTalk profile picture. It's not that difficult, but
talking about where I go cycling doesn't feel very confident.
