Valve's new gaming PC 'Steam Machine' is expected to be released at a higher price than anticipated.
According to foreign media, price information for the new Steam Machine was spotted on the website of Czech IT retailer smarty.cz.
A Reddit user analyzed the HTML code of the Steam Machine product page on the website and found content suggesting that the 512GB model will be priced at 19,826CZK (approximately $950 excluding tax) and the 2TB model at 22,305CZK (approximately $1,070 excluding tax).
This is higher than the initial rumored price range of $700 to $800, but some analysts say it is a relatively reasonable level considering the recent rise in PC component prices.
Hardware specifications have also been significantly enhanced. It is equipped with AMD's semi-custom CPU and GPU, 16GB RAM (RAM), and 8GB video memory (VRAM), providing approximately six times the performance improvement compared to the handheld game console Steam Deck. This is expected to enable stable gameplay at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second (FPS). The operating system will use the latest SteamOS.
