Hello
I'm a Giant Tuna who is in training season but still hasn't broken through the 6-minute barrier at Namsan.
I've gained weight, and previously I recorded up to 4 minutes 50 seconds
It's tough - back then I was 82 kilos, now I'm 91 kilos
So I decided I need to lose weight
When I asked Gemini
It explained the training methods well. I revisited Zone 2 training that I had discovered before
But the Han River is the closest
Since it's a tough ride, I only rode 40-50km three times a week in early mornings
I was told this wouldn't help me lose weight
So...
I bought a minivelo.
The trifold has limitations when it comes to feeling speed
I found a minivelo with a chromoly feel that can achieve speed and can be added to my home collection
And the solution was
the Weimi 11s.
Last night, I rode the Weimi 11s for 33km in 1 hour 30 minutes in Zone 2
This.... when I straightened my back and rode upright instead of hunching over like on a road bike, it felt like a whole new world
Haha, even without cleats, my pedaling method got me around 85 cadence
Exercising for 1 hour 30 minutes with heart rate between 110-130 felt really good.
And I've tried various minivelos including alu minivelos and trifolds, and for road cyclists training at low speed on the Han River
I think a 2-stage foldable with about 20-inch tires and 461 wheels is better than a 3-stage foldable with 406 wheels.
(I currently have 3 bikes: Weimi 8 with 406 wheels, Weimi 11s with 461 wheels, and Giant TCR)
