I was using the ENVY 5.6 DT240 hub model very well as it matched my preferences and had good performance
However, I was riding on a Time Machine and often felt regret about the weight, and I was eager for a lighter bike while struggling with uphills..
After learning about Building Wheel and finishing a really long consultation, I received the wheels haha
The wheel specs are DK rim, Vanport Highway hub 60T ratchet, 55/62 with inner/outer widths of 21/28! The weight was about 1240 grams excluding rim tape.
I had used the ENVY for over a year, and after receiving these wheels this time, I took about 100km for a test ride.
It's a course I always frequent, and with gentle uphills under 5% and flat sections well-formed, it was perfect for testing
I'm leaving a short-distance riding review!!
With about 300 grams lighter just in the wheels, going uphill with the same power became noticeably easier.
When starting or during intervals, even when dancing on the pedals, it feels lively and I was surprised that it responded to power better than I expected.
The inner width of the ENVY was 19 and the current wheel is 21, so the smoothness from the ride feel seems to have contributed.
Considering the rim height and weight, it feels close to ultra-lightweight level, so in terms of cruising speed it's a tiny bit short compared to the ENVY, but
Compared to my worries, I'm very satisfied and the quality seems good, and overall I personally think it's a superior wheel compared to the ENVY 5.6..
Cobra was very kind and gave detailed consultation, so I think this great wheel came about because of that.
This is not a long-term review so it may be lacking, but please enjoy reading and have a good day..haha
