ARTJOG 2026은 두 번째 10년을 맞이하며 새로운 장을 열었습니다. 첫 번째 연속편인 ARS LONGA TRILOGIA의 주제인 ARS LONGA: GENERATIO는 축제가 예술이 세대를 연결하고 변화하는 사회, 문화 및 정치적 상황 속에서 여전히 관련성을 유지하는 방식을 탐구합니다.

2026년 6월 19일부터 8월 30일까지 요가카르타 국립 박물관에서 개최되는 ARTJOG 2026은 파라 와르다니를 주도로 새로운 cuatorial 기간의 시작을 알립니다. 이 삼부작은 세 가지 상호 연결된 주제를 통해 펼쳐집니다: Generatio(2026), Legatum(2027) 및 Mundus(2028)는 예술이 인간의 삶과 사회의 지속적인 부분임을 반영합니다.

삼부작의 첫 번째 장인 ARS LONGA: GENERATIO는 세대를 통한 아이디어, 가치 및 창의력 전달을 조사합니다. ARTJOG는 로비 디 안토노에게 대규모 건축물 설치, 조각 및 몰입형 공간을 통해 이 주제를 해석하도록 의뢰했습니다. 이 축제는 또한 25명의 초청된 예술가와 집단, 개방형 모집을 통해 선정된 19명의 신진 예술가, ARTJOG Kids 프로그램에 참여한 6~15세 어린이 52명의 작품도 선보입니다.

이 프로젝트는 세 부분으로 진행됩니다. Vulnera: Intergenerational Scars는 ARTJOG 건축물을 차지하고 세대 간에 전달되는 상처를 조사합니다. Collective Womb과 Alien Generation은 기원, 정체성 및 새로운 세대 형성을 탐구하는 반면, Generatio Continua: Death as a Catalyst for the Rebirth of a Generation은 죽음이 재생과 변화의 원동력임을 고려합니다. 이 작품들은 모두 기억, 유산 및 인간의 연속성에 대한 몰입형 반영을 형성합니다.

아티스트 참여 다이얼로그 프로그램은 세대를 아우르는 파푸아 예술가 그룹인 알리야카 컬렉티브를 선보이며, 키니 월로보니를 제시합니다. 센타니 토착 문화의 요소들을 활용하여, semper, hukulu, khai 및 전통 어망을 포함하여, 이 오디오비주얼 설치는 문화적 지속가능성과 새로운 세대의 파푸아 사람들의 관점을 반영합니다.

또한 아트레이유 모니아가 프로젝트(AMP)도 참여하며, 임계/주변: 국경 너머, 가능성 너머라는 제목의 작품을 선보입니다. 이는 조직이 북 자카르타에서 서 자카르타로 이동하는 여정을 그려냅니다. 11명의 AMP 동문을 특징으로 하는 이 전시회는 기록, 문서화, 성과, 그리고 동남아시아를 가로지르는 예술적 여정을 탐구하는 다큐멘터리 시리즈를 선보입니다.

아티스트 참여 프랙티카 부문에서는 제시카 수키디가 뿌리의 디스코: 리조마틱 컬렉티브를 선보입니다. 이는 정체성을 유동적이며 지리, 세대, 생태계를 아우르는 관계에 의해 형성되는 실험적인 프로젝트입니다. 뿌리는 개념적이자 물질적인 요소로서 기억, 회복력, 변화의 살아있는 기록으로 기능합니다.

오픈콜 아티스트 부문을 대표하여 오버란 루나가 당신의 회복은 필요하지 않습니다라는 작품을 선보입니다. 이 작품은 신체를 사회 및 경제 시스템 내에서 기능 유지 능력으로 가치를 평가하는 메커니즘으로 조사합니다. 루나는 몰입형 설치를 통해 관객들에게 현대적 돌봄, 생산성, 생존에 대한 성찰을 제시하며, 연속성과 퍼포먼스로 주도되는 세상에서 이러한 개념들을 되돌아봅니다.

이번 행사와 함께 자카르타 국립 박물관 단지에서 열리는 챕터 자카르타의 두 번째 에디션이 진행됩니다. 지역 및 국제 미술관과 예술 공동체를 모아 박물관의 문화 허브 역할을 강화하고 동시에 요가카르타 현대 미술을 위한 지속 가능한 생태계 구축을 지원합니다.

Love ARTJOG 프로그램은 장애인 예술가들이 요가카르타의 예술 공동체와 협력하여 예술적 실천을 개발하도록 다시 한번 초대합니다. Tab Space와 함께 조직된 이 프로그램은 또한 초등학생과 고등학생에게 장애인 방문객을 지원하고 동행하게 하는 교육을 제공합니다.

이번에는 The Others Lab이 발리 기반 디자인 스튜디오인 스튜디오 반다와 협력하여 TACO 인도네시아의 지원을 받습니다. 토론과 실습 워크샵을 통해 이 프로그램은 대중이 디자인을 통해 환경 문제와 지속 가능성을 탐구하도록 장려합니다.

Djarum Foundation의 Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation 지원 아래, performa•ARTJOG은 오픈콜을 통해 선정된 공연과 특별 프레젠테이션을 선보입니다. 프랑스 음악가 바이올렛 인디고와 프랑스 그룹 워치독의 공연, 모니카 림, 패트릭 하르토노, 모건 메이 및 세레나타 합창단 ISI 요가카르타를 포함한 협업 공연 등이 주요 내용입니다. 이 프로그램에는 또한 호주 예술 오케스트라, Daughters of the Sea (Artistique Théâtre) 및 Ma ‘Bua’ (Densiel Lebang)이 있습니다.

ARTJOG 2026 membuka babak baru saat memasuki dekade keduanya. Dengan tema ARS LONGA: GENERATIO, angsuran pertama dari trilogi ARS LONGA TRILOGIA, festival ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana seni terus menghubungkan generasi dan tetap relevan di tengah kondisi sosial, budaya, dan politik yang berubah.

Diadakan dari 19 Juni hingga 30 Agustus 2026 di Museum Nasional Jogja di Yogyakarta, ARTJOG 2026 menandai dimulainya periode kuratorial baru yang dipimpin oleh Farah Wardani. Trilogi ini terungkap melalui tiga tema yang saling terkait: Generatio (2026), Legatum (2027) dan Mundus (2028), mencerminkan keyakinan bahwa seni adalah bagian yang abadi dari kehidupan manusia dan masyarakat.

Sebagai bab pertama dari trilogi, ARS LONGA: GENERATIO meneliti transmisi ide, nilai, dan kreativitas lintas generasi. ARTJOG telah menugaskan Roby Dwi Antono untuk menginterpretasikan tema ini melalui instalasi fasad skala besar, patung, dan ruang imersif. Festival ini juga menampilkan karya dari 25 seniman dan kolektif undangan, 19 seniman pendatang baru yang dipilih melalui panggilan terbuka, dan 52 peserta berusia 6–15 tahun dalam program ARTJOG Kids.

Pameran ini terstruktur berdasarkan dua pendekatan: Dialogus, yang berfokus pada kolaborasi dan pertukaran antar generasi, dan Practica, yang memamerkan praktik seni individu yang mencerminkan kekhawatiran dan wacana generasi kontemporer.

ARTJOG 2026 mengundang Roby Dwi Antono sebagai Seniman Tertunjuk, mengakui relevansinya dengan tema pameran dan posisinya sebagai suara terkemuka di antara generasi baru seniman kontemporer Indonesia. Melalui GENERATIO: Cyclus Vitae, Roby mengeksplorasi siklus kehidupan, kematian, dan kelahiran kembali, mengajak penonton untuk merenungkan regenerasi dan kelangsungan di tengah perubahan yang terus menerus.

Proyek ini terungkap dalam tiga bagian. Vulnera: Luka Antar Generasi menempati fasad ARTJOG dan memeriksa luka warisan yang diturunkan antar generasi. Collective Womb dan Alien Generation menjelajahi asal-usul, identitas, dan pembentukan generasi baru, sementara Generatio Continua: Kematian sebagai Katalis untuk Kelahiran Kembali Suatu Generasi mempertimbangkan kematian sebagai kekuatan pembaruan dan transformasi. Bersama-sama, karya-karya tersebut membentuk refleksi imersif tentang ingatan, warisan, dan kelangsungan manusia.

Program Dialogus Peserta Seniman menampilkan Kolektif Alyakha, sebuah kelompok seniman Papua lintas generasi yang menyajikan Kiney Waloboney. Mengambil elemen budaya asli Sentani, termasuk sempe, hukulu, khai dan jaring ikan tradisional, instalasi audiovisual ini merenungkan keberlanjutan budaya dan perspektif generasi baru Papua.

Atreyu Moniaga Project (AMP) juga berpartisipasi, dengan presentasinya, Liminal/Periphery: Beyond Borders, Beyond Possibilities, melacak perjalanan organisasi dari Jakarta Utara ke Jakarta Barat. Menampilkan 11 alumni AMP, pameran ini memamerkan arsip, dokumentasi, pencapaian dan serial dokumenter yang mengeksplorasi perjalanan artistik di Asia Tenggara.

Dalam kategori Peserta Seniman Praktika, Jessica Soekidi menyajikan The Disco of Roots: A Rhizomatic Collective, sebuah proyek eksperimental yang melihat identitas sebagai sesuatu yang cair dan dibentuk oleh hubungan lintas geografi, generasi, dan sistem ekologis. Umbi berfungsi sebagai elemen konseptual dan material, berfungsi sebagai arsip hidup dari ingatan, ketahanan, dan transformasi.

Mewakili kategori Seniman Panggilan Terbuka, Oberlan Luna menyajikan Your Recovery is Not Required, sebuah karya yang mengkaji tubuh sebagai mekanisme yang dihargai karena kemampuannya untuk tetap berfungsi dalam sistem sosial dan ekonomi. Melalui instalasi imersif, Luna mengajak penonton untuk merenungkan gagasan kontemporer tentang perawatan, produktivitas, dan kelangsungan hidup di dunia yang didorong oleh kontinuitas dan kinerja.

Bersamaan dengan acara tahun ini, edisi kedua Chapter Jogja berlangsung di kompleks Museum Nasional Jogja. Menggabungkan galeri dan komunitas seni regional dan internasional, pameran ini memperkuat peran museum sebagai pusat budaya sambil mendukung ekosistem yang berkelanjutan untuk seni kontemporer di Yogyakarta.

Program Love ARTJOG sekali lagi mengundang seniman dengan disabilitas untuk mengembangkan praktik artistik mereka melalui kolaborasi dengan komunitas seni di Yogyakarta. Diselenggarakan bersama Tab Space, program ini juga melatih siswa sekolah dasar dan menengah untuk membantu dan mendampingi pengunjung penyandang disabilitas selama acara.

Tahun ini, The Others Lab didukung oleh TACO Indonesia bekerja sama dengan Studio Banda, studio desain berbasis di Bali. Melalui diskusi dan workshop praktis, program ini mendorong masyarakat untuk mengeksplorasi isu lingkungan dan keberlanjutan melalui desain.

Didukung oleh Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation, performa•ARTJOG menyajikan pertunjukan yang dipilih melalui panggilan terbuka bersama dengan presentasi khusus. Sorotan termasuk pertunjukan oleh musisi Prancis Violet Indigo dan grup Prancis Watchdog, serta kolaborasi menampilkan Monica Lim, Patrick Hartono, Morgan May dan Paduan Suara Serenata ISI Yogyakarta. Program ini juga menampilkan Australian Art Orchestra, Daughters of the Sea oleh Artistique Théâtre, dan Ma ‘Bua’ oleh Densiel Lebang.

ARTJOG 2026 opens a new chapter as it enters its second decade. Under the theme ARS LONGA: GENERATIO, the first installment of the three-year ARS LONGA TRILOGIA, the festival explores how art continues to connect generations and remains relevant amid changing social, cultural and political conditions.

Held from 19 June to 30 August 2026 at the Jogja National Museum in Yogyakarta, ARTJOG 2026 marks the beginning of a new curatorial period led by Farah Wardani. The trilogy unfolds through three interconnected themes: Generatio (2026), Legatum (2027) and Mundus (2028), reflecting the belief that art is an enduring part of human life and society.

As the first chapter of the trilogy, ARS LONGA: GENERATIO examines the transmission of ideas, values and creativity across generations. ARTJOG has commissioned Roby Dwi Antono to interpret the theme through a large-scale façade installation, sculptures and immersive spaces. The festival also presents works by 25 invited artists and collectives, 19 emerging artists selected through an open call, and 52 participants aged 6–15 in the ARTJOG Kids programme.

The exhibition is structured around two approaches: Dialogus, which focuses on intergenerational collaboration and exchange, and Practica, which showcases individual artistic practices reflecting the concerns and discourses of the contemporary generation.

ARTJOG 2026 invites Roby Dwi Antono as its Commissioned Artist, recognising his relevance to the exhibition theme and his position as a leading voice among a new generation of Indonesian contemporary artists. Through GENERATIO: Cyclus Vitae, Roby explores the cycles of life, death and rebirth, inviting audiences to reflect on regeneration and continuity amid constant change.

The project unfolds in three parts. Vulnera: Intergenerational Scars occupies the ARTJOG façade and examines inherited wounds passed between generations. Collective Womb and Alien Generation explore origins, identity and the formation of new generations, while Generatio Continua: Death as a Catalyst for the Rebirth of a Generation considers death as a force for renewal and transformation. Together, the works form an immersive reflection on memory, inheritance and human continuity.

The Artist Participant Dialogus programme features the Alyakha Collective, a cross-generational group of Papuan artists presenting Kiney Waloboney. Drawing on elements of Sentani Indigenous culture, including sempe, hukulu, khai and traditional fishing nets, the audiovisual installation reflects on cultural sustainability and the perspectives of a new generation of Papuans.

Also participating is Atreyu Moniaga Project (AMP), whose presentation, Liminal/Periphery: Beyond Borders, Beyond Possibilities, traces the organisation’s journey from North Jakarta to West Jakarta. Featuring 11 AMP alumni, the exhibition showcases archives, documentation, achievements and a documentary series exploring artistic journeys across Southeast Asia.

In the Artist Participant Practica category, Jessica Soekidi presents The Disco of Roots: A Rhizomatic Collective, an experimental project that views identity as fluid and shaped by relationships across geographies, generations and ecological systems. Tubers serve as both conceptual and material elements, functioning as living archives of memory, resilience and transformation.

Representing the Open Call Artist category, Oberlan Luna presents Your Recovery is Not Required, a work that examines the body as a mechanism valued for its ability to remain functional within social and economic systems. Through an immersive installation, Luna invites audiences to reflect on contemporary notions of care, productivity and survival in a world driven by continuity and performance.

Alongside this year’s event, the second edition of Chapter Jogja takes place at the Jogja National Museum complex. Bringing together regional and international galleries and arts communities, the fair strengthens the museum’s role as a cultural hub while supporting a sustainable ecosystem for contemporary art in Yogyakarta.

The Love ARTJOG programme once again invites artists with disabilities to develop their artistic practices through collaborations with art communities in Yogyakarta. Organised with Tab Space, the programme also trains elementary and high school students to assist and accompany disabled visitors during the event.

This year, The Others Lab is supported by TACO Indonesia in collaboration with Studio Banda, a Bali-based design studio. Through talks and hands-on workshops, the programme encourages the public to explore environmental issues and sustainability through design.
