The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced that they will begin the full-scale integration of members from both organizations in preparation for the launch of the integrated Korail and SR app in August.
Customers who have joined the SR app and used SRT need to convert to an integrated membership. According to MOLIT on the 13th, this member integration is the first step towards utilizing the integrated railway service. From the 14th, a website for converting to an integrated membership will be operated so that existing Korail and SR members can book train tickets through a single integrated app.
Starting in September, tickets for the integrated trains of KORAIL and SR will be available for booking through the integrated app from August. Converting to an integrated membership allows for more convenient use and greater benefits. MOLIT emphasized the importance of converting to an integrated membership for smooth Chuseok holiday ticket reservations.
The integration membership conversion process is required for members who have joined both Korail and SR, and members who have only joined SR. Members who have only joined Korail will be automatically converted and do not require a separate procedure.
