The 48th UNESCO World Heritage Committee was held in Busan. President Yoon Suk-yeol emphasized at the opening ceremony that World Heritage is a symbol that unites humanity beyond borders and generations. The Director-General of UNESCO highly evaluated the fact that Korea has registered 17 World Heritage sites, saying that heritage is not a product of the past but breathes dynamism into culture. Traditional Korean performances such as Ilmu, Taepyeongmu, and Ganggangsullae were presented at the opening ceremony, and promotional ambassador G-Dragon urged the preservation of World Heritage.
