The ruling and opposition parties agreed to process a bill to appoint a special prosecutor regarding the shortage of ballot papers by the National Election Commission. The special prosecutor candidate will be selected by a national recommendation committee consisting of six members, three recommended by each party. The president will then appoint one of the two candidates selected by the committee. The scope and duration of the special prosecutor's investigation will be discussed later by the ruling and opposition parties. This agreement is expected to help process the bill in the July extraordinary National Assembly session. Moreover, it is hoped that this agreement on the Special Prosecutor Act will lead to a solution to the ongoing issue of the composition of the National Assembly.
