A flood watch has been issued for the Imjingang River and Imjingak Bridge area in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province. Due to the release of water from North Korea's Hwanggang Dam and concentrated heavy rainfall in the Yeoncheon region, the water level of the Imjingang River is rising sharply, and the water level at the Imjingak Bridge recorded 7m as of 11:30 am. The water level at Pilsung Bridge, the northernmost point of the Imjingang River, also exceeded 7.5m, entering a crisis response attention stage. The Han River Flood Control Center expects the water level of the Imjingang River to reach 8.3m, the cautionary level standard, around 12:40 pm. Yeoncheon County and other areas have sent disaster safety text messages urging people to refrain from approaching riverbanks and evacuate to safe places.
