The People Power Party decided to accept the remaining seven standing committee chair positions after consultations with the Democratic Party. Through this, the National Assembly is scheduled to elect the corresponding chairs at the plenary session scheduled for the 23rd. The People Power Party also endorsed the Democratic Party's 'Special Prosecutor Act' in response to the shortage of ballot papers at polling stations managed by the National Election Commission, but agreed to hold further consultations on the scope and duration of the investigation. Some lawmakers of the People Power Party argued that the investigation should include the seizure and search of the National Election Commission server, but Representative Dong-hyuk Jang expressed concerns that the court may not recognize the investigation if its scope is not clearly defined, arguing that the endorsement of the special prosecutor act should be postponed. However, Floor Leader Jeong Jeom-sik maintained his stance that they should fight within the National Assembly and the special prosecutor agreement was endorsed.
