THR (Tunjangan Hari Raya) is a legally mandated holiday bonus in Indonesia. Basically, employees who have worked for more than one year are entitled to one month's basic salary, and those who have worked less than one year are paid proportionally according to the number of months worked.
📌 Official THR Calculation Method
✅ For employees who have worked for more than one year → One month's salary will be paid 💰
✅ For employees who have worked less than one year → (Number of months worked ÷ 12) × Monthly salary
📍 Example) What if our ART (house helper) has worked for 6 months?
👉 (6 ÷ 12) × 4,000,000 IDR = 2,000,000 IDR 💵
⚠️ Bonuses are legally required, but if you want to express your gratitude further? Giving Lebaran gifts (cookies, new clothes, vouchers) in addition to cash can convey a warmer feeling! 🎀
🏡 2. What about Infal (Temporary Replacement Staff) Costs?
During Lebaran, employees go back to their hometowns, and I have to do all the housework, childcare, and driving! 😱 That's impossible! This is where Infal (temporary replacement staff) comes in.
Infal rates vary depending on market prices, but here are some general rates (Jakarta Slipi area).
ART (House Helper): IDR 200,000~400,000 per day
Babysitter: IDR 350,000~500,000 per day
Driver: IDR 350,000~600,000 per day
