Police are investigating through a search and seizure of the Korea Football Association whether there was any improper intervention in the process of appointing Hong Myung-bo as coach. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Major Crimes Unit searched the Korea Football Association office and the Seoul Jongno-gu Football Hall for 11 hours on suspicion of obstruction of business by hierarchy. This investigation aims to uncover the process of appointing coach Hong Myung-bo, in which allegations of improper intervention by football association executives have been raised. Police secured materials related to the appointment of the coach, as well as mobile phones and PCs of those involved, and plan to investigate those involved, including former president Jung Mong-gyu, based on the analysis results.
