「Korean War Service Medal Search Task Force」 is currently working to find and present medals to those who were designated to receive service medals for their contributions during the Korean War but have not actually received them, or to their bereaved families. Please refer to the information below.
○ Purpose : To present service medals to those who were designated to receive service medals for their contributions during the Korean War but have not actually received them, or to their bereaved families, thereby honoring their achievements and elevating their honor. Through this, we fulfill the nation's responsibility to those who made special sacrifices and dedications for the country and people, and contribute to enhancing the patriotic spirit of the nation.
○ Recipients: The designated service medal recipients themselves or their bereaved families
○ Application Method: Send an email or call the "Korean War Service Medal Search Task Force"

① If you know the military service number of the recipient: Complete the attached application form and send it to the task force email
② How to verify if you don't know the military service number of the recipient
- Military service certificate issuance (for military service number verification): Apply for a military service certificate through the competent diplomatic mission of the relevant country
- Request to find military service number: Submit a civil complaint through the Internet Civil Complaint System
