Korean equestrianism has been called a "filial sport" for winning many medals, including 15 gold medals at past Asian Games. However, its performance has declined recently, failing to win medals in the dressage event at the Jakarta-Palembang and Hangzhou Games. In this Asian Games, key riders such as Nam Dong-heon and Kim Si-woo are competing to regain lost glory and aim for medals. Notably, Nam Dong-heon, considered one of the best domestic riders in dressage, missed the last competition due to a horse injury. He is determined to overcome his disappointment and stand on the podium.
