Eun-a Jeong, a nurse in the emergency room at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital, saved Ms. Kim, a 50-year-old woman who suffered cardiac arrest in a swimming pool. Nurse Jeong used her experience in the emergency room to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with chest compressions for about seven minutes, checking Ms. Kim's consciousness and breathing status. After vomiting, Ms. Kim recovered spontaneous circulation through defibrillation and CPR. She was transferred to the 119 ambulance team. Ms. Kim was treated at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital and discharged in good health, expressing her gratitude to Nurse Jeong. Nurse Jeong emphasized the importance of initial response in emergency situations and said that she would continue to fulfill her role as a medical professional.
