LG Electronics Launches New CineBeam Projector 'CineBeam AI'
LG Electronics launched its new CineBeam projector 'LG CineBeam AI (model HU925V)' in Korea today. This is the first CineBeam projector to be released in four years and is a premium ultra-short throw (UST) projector that can create a clear 100-inch screen even when the distance between the wall or screen and the projector is less than 10cm.
Unlike portable models like CineBeam Cube and CineBeam Shorts, this model is designed for home cinema. With a distance of only 5.6~18.3cm between the screen and projector, it can project a 90~120-inch 4K UHD screen. This allows you to create your own movie theater even in small spaces.
Unlike conventional projectors that require ceiling or rear wall installation for projection distance, the CineBeam AI does not occupy living space and can be placed close to the screen. This reduces interference and shadows caused by people and objects moving in front of the projector.
With 4K UHD (resolution 3840x2160), which is four times higher than FHD (1920x1080), the CineBeam AI delivers movie theater-level resolution. It accurately expresses even close-ups, complex scenes, fast movements, color gradients, and delicate textures.
The new model is equipped with a 3-channel RGB laser system. Unlike conventional projectors that generate three colors from a single light source, the CineBeam AI generates red (R), green (G), and blue (B) light independently. This reduces color loss during the mixing process and increases color accuracy to DCI-P3 94%, resulting in richer and more accurate color expression. With a high contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1, it enhances the depth of the screen and provides clearer blacks and realistic colors.
Brightness is also up to 3,000 ANSI lumens (ANSI lumens - a unit for measuring perceived brightness according to American National Standards Institute standards), allowing for clear viewing even in bright environments. Using the manual iris mode allows you to precisely control screen brightness based on the changing brightness of the space and various lighting conditions, ensuring consistent visibility.
The biggest difference between this new model and previous models is the inclusion of an AI processor. The CineBeam AI is equipped with a 3rd generation Alpha8 AI 4K processor, enabling features such as AI Picture Pro (image quality optimization), AI Sound Pro (sound quality optimization), AI Magic Remote (smart remote control), AI Search (real-time AI search while watching), AI Concierge (content recommendations based on user preferences), AI Voice ID (voice recognition), and AI Picture Wizard.
In particular, AI Picture Pro and AI Sound Pro optimize image and sound quality for each content. They automatically recognize the content being watched and continuously adjust the image and sound quality in real time. Even low-resolution content can be upscaled to 4K high resolution through AI Picture Pro.
Powerful sound complements the overwhelming picture quality. The CineBeam AI features built-in 2-channel 40W speakers and supports Dolby Atmos object-based surround sound technology, allowing you to experience immersive sound from all directions.
It also supports Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, which allows the projector to act as a hub for the audio system. You can connect compatible soundbars like the Sound Sweet M5 and M7 series or individual speakers (sold separately) to create an immersive surround sound environment.
The new model measures 68cm wide, 34.7cm deep, 12.8cm high and weighs 12.7kg. It features a sleek black and silver design with metallic accents to blend seamlessly into any space. The price is 5,290,000 won based on the launch date. Sales will begin on September 3rd at LG Electronics' official online brand shop LGE.com, and from mid-September onwards, it will be available for purchase at major LG Electronics flagship stores such as D5, Donggyo branch, Incheon main branch, Suwon main branch, Daejeon main branch, Seodaegu main branch, Sasang branch.
