Ambassador Yoon Soon-gu attended the credence ceremony held at the Indonesian Presidential Palace (Istana Merdeka) on Monday, June 8, 2026, and submitted his credentials to President Prabowo Subianto.
During the conversation with the President following the credence ceremony, President Prabowo stated that the results of the summit with President Lee Jae-myung on April 1 were excellent, and he expressed his hope to meet with President Lee again in Jakarta.
Ambassador Yoon said he would convey President Prabowo's message to his home country, and that he would do his best to promote mutually beneficial and balanced interests between South Korea and Indonesia during his tenure as ambassador.
