I'm riding a Trek MTB Pro Caliber 9.6 and Madone 6th generation SLR9
I'm planning to purchase a used all-round road bike
Here's what I'm curious about: a 2021 S-Works Venge has caught my eye and I want to try it
Although it's said to be aero, when I compare the frame to the current Tarmac SL9, they don't look very different to me
So if I were to add a Venge, would I just end up with two aero bikes, or could I feel some of that lightweight and lively sensation of an all-round bike that I can't get from the Madone?
For reference, while I haven't ridden a true BMC flagship model, I have ridden the SLE One, and I can't forget how incredibly light and flying-like it felt. Is that lightweight and lively sensation I experienced a benefit that only all-round bikes can provide?
Or is it something I could feel to some degree with a Venge? Should I include the Venge in my purchase list, or should I inevitably exclude it despite my regrets?
If I have to give up the Venge because it's aero and there's no real difference from the Madone, I'm looking at used bikes in the 500-600k range. What flagship all-round bike would you recommend? I'm seeking your advice, seniors. Thanks so much~
