Regarding opinions that the game was boring because Pogacha dominated it.

I often see opinions that the sport is boring because Pogacar dominates races too much.
Every time I see that, I think like this.
'Wasn't the NBA fun when Michael Jordan dominated the league and won championships every year?'
When I actually said this, someone told me, 'Basketball is a team sport, so the situation is different.'
Cycling is also a legitimate team sport, but I'll move on for now.
Then what about Usain Bolt?
What about Tiger Woods?
What about Kim Yuna?
During the time when they dominated their competitors,
I don't think many people remember those sports being boring.
After all, someone dominating a field in sports doesn't mean
it's not fun, it seems.
If I had to find a reason, it would be because
'another player' is dominating rather than 'the player I support,' so isn't interest falling?
If the player you're most passionate about is running solo by leaving competitors far behind,
would you really feel bored? You would probably cheer in awe.
A fierce competition where two or three players go back and forth and the outcome is unknown until the end
provides the fun of 'tension.'

Conversely, when one player shows overwhelming skill enough to dominate the entire sport,
it gives 'awe' as you are witnessing a moment of great history in itself.
I like both of these.
Just because I like jjajangmyeon doesn't mean I dislike jjamppong, right? haha
