President Lee Jae-myung visited Brazil, Chile, and Argentina to meet with leaders and businesspeople of each country to explore ways to strengthen cooperation with Korea. In particular, in Argentina, he achieved results in energy cooperation and support for corporate advancement, including starting crude oil imports from next year and concluding a double taxation avoidance agreement. He also accelerated the opening of the South American market by promoting the resumption of negotiations on a trade agreement between Korea and Mercosur. During his visit to Argentina, President Lee had time to communicate with local residents and experience Argentine culture. After completing his tour of South America, President Lee Jae-myung will hold a meeting with compatriots in Frankfurt, Germany, before returning to Korea.
