President Lee Jae-myung's return to the country has accelerated discussions on housing supply issues. The government plans to promote short-term supply expansion centered on non-apartment housing by addressing financial constraints and easing construction regulations. The industry pointed out that it is facing difficulties in promoting projects due to a lack of bridge loan funding, LTV restrictions, and total loan management. The government is reviewing various measures, including the utilization of public land, state-owned land, military bases, expansion of urban public housing complex projects, and utilization of green belts, and plans to announce follow-up supply measures this month.
