A woman in her 40s, Ms. A, has been indicted by prosecutors on charges of long-term stalking of actor Hwang Jung-min. Prosecutors argued that Ms. A excessively contacted him and posted threatening messages on social media, putting the victim in fear, and sought a fine of 10 million won. Ms. A claimed that Hwang Jung-min had not consistently expressed his intention to refuse contact and excused herself for acting emotionally. While she admitted sending messages implying suicide and photos of cat carcasses to Hwang Jung-min, she denied intending to instill fear. The court is scheduled to hand down a verdict on the 8th of next month.
